LIVERMORE — The Town Office closed Monday after a possible exposure to COVID-19, according to the town website and Facebook page.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however we believe this is necessary to protect our community. We plan to reopen once we receive proper clearance and testing,” both posts said.

It’s hoped that test results will be available Thursday. If they are negative, the office will open then, Aaron Miller, administrative assistant to the Board of Selectpersons, said by phone Tuesday morning.

Bids for mowing and tax-acquired properties, and any other materials may be left in the Town Office drop slot. Cars may be reregistered online at https://www1.maine.gov/online/bmv/rapid-renewal/ and taxes paid at www.livermoremaine.org.

The Board of Selectpersons meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening has been canceled, Miller said.
