WELLESLEY, Mass. — Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation recently announced that it awarded more than $10.4 million in grants to 796 nonprofit organizations in 300 communities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire in 2020.
The Maine grantees included:
• B Street Health Center/St. Mary’s, Lewiston, $233,000 for COVID-19 relief efforts
• Good Shepherd Food Bank, Auburn, $155,000 for COVID-19 relief efforts
• Alan Day Community Garden, Norway, $35,000 for supporting the volunteer and youth leadership program staff to expand volunteer capacity to increase food production, donations and distribution
• St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Cultivating Community, Lewiston/Auburn, $30,000, Good Food Bus Mobile Farmers’ Market
