NORWAY — The Table HOGs (Healthy Outdoor Group) — designed to offer healthy outdoor activities that are free or inexpensive for people of the Oxford Hills Area and beyond — seeks donations of kayaks, paddles and life jackets so that it can be able to bring whoever wants to go.

Last summer, The Table HOGs kayaked 20 different bodies of water in the Oxford Hills/Western Maine area. This winter the group hiked many trails together enjoying the Maine winter outdoors. Now that the ice is out of the ponds, the group is looking forward to another summer of offering the experience of kayaking to people who are looking for a safe, fun and free activity.

The group has some extra kayaks and always wants to bring people along whether they have kayaks or not. Monetary donations will be used toward the purchase of kayaks and equipment. Those wanting to donate to this community effort can contact A-J Alexander, director, by emailing her at aaturnleft3@gmail.com.

The Table — a group made up of people from the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, the Norway Grange and the community – is located at 160 Main St. in Norway, in the Little Yellow Schoolhouse building across the road from the hospital. The Table offers safe space for recovery groups to meet as well as other services. “Like” the Table on Facebook to see upcoming activities.

Monetary donations may be sent to BMUMC “The Table,” P.O. Box 859, Harrison, ME 04040.
