AUBURN – Therese Vivianne Fontaine Lagrange, 88, a resident of the Odd Fellows Home, passed away peacefully Monday, May 3, 2021.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 26, 1932, the daughter of Henry and Imelda (Cailler) Fontaine.

Therese was educated and raised in Lewiston, in a section of town called Thorne’s Corner. She worked for St. Mary’s Hospital then Knapp Shoe for 42 years before retiring. She absolutely loved spending time with her family on holidays, birthdays, or out to dinner. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the love of her life.

Survivors include her three children, Anita, Richard, and Daniel; one brother, Roland and his wife Rita Fontaine; two sisters, Mrs. Juliette Therrien, and Mrs. Rita Gagnon. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Liana and her husband Denis Ouellette, Sarah Landry, Dustin and his wife Annie Lagrange, and Amanda Lagrange and her wife, Kayla Rickards; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla, Caleb, Cohen, Evelyn, Ethan, Carter, Zoey, Audrey, and Delaney; a brother-in-law, Laurier Lagrange and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Flourette Doyon, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by seven siblings, Carmen, Pauline, Herman, Normand, Emile, Cecile, and Simonne.

Committal services will be held 9 a.m., Saturday, May 8, at St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Lewiston. All attendees per Maine CDC are required to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing.
