FARMINGTON — A free, walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be hosted by the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) on Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 274 Front Street in Farmington.

The Moderna vaccine will be administered by NorthStar Emergency Medical Services, Maine Emergency Medical Services and Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled on June 5 at the same location for participants to receive the second required dose.

The clinic is open to the public and will provide a vaccine to anyone 18 and older. Participants should wear a mask and bring a form of identification. Insurance information is requested but not required. The entire process is estimated to take 40 minutes. People are instructed not to come to the clinic if they are experiencing a fever, cough or shortness of breath.
