BUCKFIELD  — New interim Town Manager Bradley Plante announced that absentee ballots for June 8 election will be available at the Town Office starting Wednesday, May 12.

The election will include four candidates for the four openings on the Select Board. Two of the seats are new as residents last year voted to expand the board from three to five members.

Michael Iveson is running for a three-year term to replace Selectwoman Martha Catevenis, who is not running for reelection. Cameron Hinkley is running for one of the new seats for a two-year term, and Robert Hand for the other new seat, a one-year term.

Janet Iveson is running to replace Chairwoman Tina Brooks, who is resigning her seat for family reasons. Michael and Janet Iverson are husband and wife.
