GRAY — Morgan Curtis belted a two-run homer and Anna Gilbert hit an RBI triple as Gray-New Gloucester completed a softball doubleheader sweep Thursday against North Yarmouth Academy with a 4-2 victory, after taking a 13-1 win in the opener.
Madison Pelletier, the winning pitcher in Game 2 for the Patriots (7-1), finished the day with five hits.
Ashley Lang drove in four runs in Game 1 with a double and a triple, and Caitlin Taylor had three hits.
BOYS LACROSSE
GARDINER 15, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP/SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: Cam Rizzo scored five goals and had three assists to lead the Tigers to a win over the Hawks in Gardiner.
Gabe Poirier scored two goals and had three assists, while Sean Doyle added three goals for Gardiner (3-2). Connor Bell and Cole Brann each had two goals for Gardiner.
Thomas Thornton and Tim Worster each had a goal for the Hawks (2-1).
