To the Editor:

After 26 incredible years serving the community of Bethel, Cathi is retiring and Cafe DiCocoa is closing. She has fed so many of us over the years and is now excited to enter her next chapter. Anna and Nicole had intended to continue DiCocoa’s into the future, but sadly it wasn’t logistically possible.

Cafe DiCocoa has been a gathering space for the community and nourished so many people. Besides serving you in the cafe, so many of you have been a part of our Gentle Dining Series, Cocina Mexicana (Mexican Nights), and many cooking classes and caterings. All have left the dining room or the cafe with their souls recharged and bellies filled with delicious food.

The community Cathi has fostered at Dicocoa’s reaches far and wide, and the memories are dear to all who have played a part. For those of us that have worked here, raised our families throughout it’s growth, and made dear friendships, we truly have felt that it was one of the most wonderful chapters in our lives, too.

Our last day: July 5

Now until July 5 open: Wednesday- Monday 7 a.m-4 p.m.

BUT! Fear not friends, Anna and Nicole have plans in the works for a brand new Cafe and Bakery in the Bethel Village. They are finalizing the new location right now! Stay tuned for announcements about this new venture, as it will soon be a place that will do it’s best to honor the community of food lovers that DiCocoa’s has fostered.

As for the DiCocoa’s space, we will definitely keep you updated.
