To the Editor:
The Bethel United Methodist Church located on Main Street is starting up a Community Project called Saturday Market On Main Street. These monthly Markets will happen on May 29, June 19, July 17, August 14 and September 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the front lawn of the Church. Our goal is to bring folks within the Community together while providing an outside venue for non-profit and artisans groups to network and get their mission out within the Community.
The Re-Pant Bags will be available at the Market for folks to purchase. These bags are made by a group of dedicated volunteers and the proceeds benefit the Food Pantry and Smile Fund. The Market will also serve as a drop off location for items for the Bethel Food Pantry. A table will be set up to collect toiletries, household items, feminine products and baby supplies. If you are able to donate any of those items, please stop by the Saturday Market and they will be gratefully accepted.
As a Church Family we are hoping that this project may benefit other non-profit groups who would like to set-up on Main Street to connect and network with folks living in our Communities. For more information email lhowe7273@gmail.com Hope to see folks stop by for a friendly visit!
