NORWAY — The seventeenth annual plant sale at First Universalist Church of Norway, slated for Saturday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will include a wide array of Maine hardy indoor and outdoor plants, birdhouses, and a Friends of Norway Memorial Library Pop Up Book Sale featuring gardening books. First Universalist Church of Norway is located at 479 Main Street, Norway.
Tours of the church belfry under construction will be available from 10 a.m. to noon. Timber framer Ed Somers will guide the tours.
Plants will include an inviting variety of vegetable plant seedlings and choices of more mature perennials and annuals for flower gardens. The timing of the sale is perfect. The first week in June is just right for planting in Maine.
Organizers of this year’s sale are Joan Beal, Jan Cardoza and Gay DeHart. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Save the Belfry and the programs of the First Universalist Church of Norway.
