Whether you’re casting a line or catching a sunset, there’s nothing like summer in the Rangeley Lakes Region. When you think of Saddleback, you probably think of those first tracks down Royal Coachman and the snow dusted trees at the top of Kennebago, but Saddleback is much more than a ski resort. We have an exciting line up of summer programs, events and dining that you can enjoy both on and off the mountain.

Dining

The Pub at Saddleback reopens on Wednesday, June 2nd and will be open Wednesday-Saturday at 12 p.m. Renovated just last year, it undeniably has one of the best views of the Western Maine Mountains in town. Come check out the new summer menu featuring ingredients from local farms. If you’re headed up to Saddleback for a hike, no need to pack snacks – the Fat Tire Mountain Bar will be open daily at 8 a.m. serving up grab-and-go breakfast and lunch. Weekly Pub specials will be part of the lineup, including:

Wednesdays – Pizza Specials
Thursday – Street Taco Night
Friday – Prime Rib
Friday & Saturday – Live Entertainment!
Brunch every Sunday beginning June 13th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Pub at Saddleback will also offer special beer and wine pairing dinners featuring local producers. Check social media for more on these RSVP events.

On-Mountain Activities

This summer Saddleback will offer yoga classes at the base lodge on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tuesdays starting June 15th from 5-6 p.m. and Fridays starting June 18th from 9-10 a.m. If you’re looking to try your hand at fly fishing, we’re offering Fly Casting Clinics led by master guide Bill Richards. The clinic includes casting equipment, but does not include a valid Maine Fishing License, which is required for participation. Clinics run 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Saddleback is teaming up with L.L. Bean to offer a guided series of hikes in Western Maine – at NO charge! For the more advanced hiker, check out the Summit the High Peaks of Maine series. This hiking series takes you to the top of some of Western Maine’s most iconic 4,000-ft mountains. Info on dates and registration, please visit www.saddlebackmaine.com.

Saddleback Guides will have canoe, kayak and SUP boards on Haley Pond, next to the Ecopelagicon in downtown Rangeley. Join these guided paddle excursions:
