Edgley “Ed” Webber

RUMFORD – Edgley “Ed” Webber, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 30, 2021, at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Sawdust Avenue in Rumford.

Born in Portland, on July 17, 1943, he was a son of Edgley and Eleanor (Trenoweth) Webber. Ed was a graduate of Stephens High School and worked in the Maintenance Department for New Page Paper Mill until his retirement in 2005. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967.

Ed was married in West Sumner, on Nov. 17, 1970 to the love of his life Jeanine “Ginger” Thibodeau who passed on Feb. 5, 2005.

Survivors include his daughters, Jessica Corriveau of Rumford, Amanda Elliott and husband Todd of Mexico and Helena Deroche and husband Ed of Rumford, a son, John Webber and wife Michelle of Farmingdale; grandchildren, William “Buddy” Simmons and wife Chelsie of Andover, Crystal Deroche of Rumford, Cheyenne White and Jasmine White of Lewiston; great-grandchild, Alex Simmons of Andover, brothers, Robert Webber of Florida, Fred Webber, Gary Webber, and Alan Webber and his wife Susan of Sumner, a sister, Ronnie Pelletier of Rumford and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers Tom Runuhan and Dennis Tyler and a sister Phyllis Dillingham.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery in Roxbury.
