Elwood E. “Boss” Leighton,
JAY – Elwood E. “Boss” Leighton, 70, passed away at his home June 3, 2021, after a long illness. Born to Robert and Kathleen (Graham) Leighton on Oct. 9, 1950 in Calais, Maine. He owned and operated his own excavating business for 40 years. He contracted with the Livermore Falls Water District for 38 years. There probably wasn’t anyone between Jay and Livermore Falls that hadn’t come in contact with him and knew what a wonderful person he was. Elwood was also willing to help anyone that needed it.
Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Joanne, his daughters, Erica and her husband Carl Hutchinson and Jessica Chevalier, stepdaughters, Tammy Robbins and fiancé Gary Dolloff, and Morrigan and husband Patrick Swan, and, four grandchildren, and his siblings, Robert, Carolyn and Cathy.
