REGION — On top of electing school board directors Tuesday, two district towns – Bethel and Newry – also voted for selectmen.
In Bethel, residents Pat McCartney and Tabaitha Steward were running for the open seat on the board, with McCartney getting 107 votes and Steward 73.
Bob Everett, running un-opposed, was re-elected to the Bethel Board of Assessors for a three-year term.
Mandy Berry came out on top in a three-way race for the open seat in Newry. Berry got 43 votes, with Dave Bartlett receiving 24 and Randal Akers nine.
