Clifford Michael Davis Sr.

WOODSTOCK – Clifford Michael Davis, Sr. “Cliff”, 70, passed away Saturday June 5, 2021 at his home. He was born March 25, 1951 in Rumford, the son of William, Sr. and Adelaide (Clifford) Davis, the second of four children.

Cliff graduated from Rumford High School in 1970. He started his working career with Lucas Tree, then moving on to Central Maine Railroad and several other companies before working as a millwright for Rumford Paper Company. Cliff retired from Rumford Paper Company (Catalyst) in 2015.

He married Jennie Gammon Jan. 30, 1999. They enjoyed riding Harleys, camping at Littlefield Beaches, boating, and most of all laughing together. He loved going to all the grandchildren’s sports events, even the early morning hockey games and freezing cold ski races in the middle of winter. Cliff loved his family deeply, putting others first and expecting nothing in return. He was a kind and helpful neighbor continually finding time to mow lawns, remove snow, sharing his knowledge of campers, and always helping those who needed it.

Cliff is survived by his wife Jennie; his mother Adelaide; four children, Clifford “Michael” Davis Jr. and wife Brandy, Jared Davis and wife Amanda, Jaime Ranger and husband Jared, and Kris Orrok and fiancée Candice; ten grandchildren, Amber, Alexa, Bailey, Emily, Brady, Colby, Chase, Cameron, Kaleb, and Mason; siblings, Steve Davis and his wife Tina, Betty Phillips, and William, Jr. “Bill” Davis and his significant other Sue Everett; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father William Davis, Sr.

Visitation will be held 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, June 11 with a service following at 11 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris. Following a private burial, visitors are welcome for lunch at the Davis home.
