TURNER — Authorities searched Thursday for a male suspect who fled the scene of an early morning, single-vehicle crash.
The man crashed a vehicle at about 6:42 a.m., in the area of 298 Turner Center Road near the Varney Farm, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy William Gagne said Thursday.
When the driver fled the scene on foot, a tracking dog was called in from Auburn Police Department to assist in the search.
The driver hadn’t been found by later afternoon Thursday, but he had been identified, Gagne said.
Charges stemming from the crash are expected, he said.
