Georgette T. Fouquette

LEWISTON – Georgette T. Fouquette, 91, of 45 Ridgewood Ave., Lewiston, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on May 15, 1930, she was the daughter of Rosario and Evelyn Minnehan Dube.

Educated locally, she worked for many years in the local shoe and textile industries. On Sept. 8, 1983, she married Arthur J. Fouquette, and they made their home in Litchfield. Mr. Fouquette passed away on Jan. 28, 2009.

A former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #135, she is survived by a son, David Hanlon and wife Kirsten of Litchfield, a stepson, Charles Fouquette of Bristol, Conn., four daughters, Cheryl Ann Berube of Auburn, Cynthia Staples and husband James of College Station, Texas, Christine Letourneau and husband Henry of Litchfield, and Lori Leet and husband Jerry of Litchfield, a stepdaughter, Linda Fouquette-Abbott of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Joan Ouellette of Scarborough; ten grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four sisters, Bona Kimmerling, Constance Brackett, Jacqueline Pinard, and Shirley Dowling, and a brother, Rosario Dube Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Monday, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word service at 11 a.m. Interment, Litchfield Plains Cemetery. Donations, condolences, and a video tribute may be found at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
