NORWAY — The 14th Annual Norway Triathlon will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 10 at Pennesseewassee Park. The Tri was held virtually last year due to COVID and will be adjusted this year with respect to Maine CDC guidelines for outdoor sports events and USAT guidelines for multi-sport events: the field will be limited to 70 bibs (bibs are either for individual or team members). Sanctioned by the USATriathlon, it is a perfect sprint tri for experienced athletes or first-time competitors. The event will include a .75k swim, 18k bike, and 5k run. Anyone interested in seeing the excitement of a triathlon while assisting the Western Foothills Land Trust, should consider volunteering for the morning. We need helpers on the run and bike courses, and additional kayakers. To volunteer, please contact [email protected].

Proceeds will benefit the Western Foothills Land Trust. Generous 2021 Sponsors include Norway Savings Bank, New Balance, Café Nomad, Evergreen Subaru, Western Maine Health, Oxford Hotel & Casino, Paris Farmers Union, Bancroft Contracting, Black Dog Timberworks, Healthy Oxford Hills, TruStrength Athletics, Bolster’s Decorating, Carter’s X-C Ski, Crossway Family Dental, Norway Brewing Company, Oxbow Brewing, True North Adventureware, WJ Wheeler & Co. Inc., Wood’s Lawn Company, 290 Main, CEBE, and Fare Share Food Co-op.

Individuals and teams of all abilities are encouraged to compete. For information or to register for the event go to: www.norwaytri.com.
