Harry E. Childs

AUBURN – Harry E. Childs, 65, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin following a long battle with esophageal cancer.

He was born in 1955 to Watson G. and Maxine (Porter) Childs.

Harry grew up in Dixfield and married Barbara Billings in 1980. He was a respiratory therapist at several hospitals for 20 years, then returned to school to receive a degree in bookkeeping. He worked at the town offices in Greene and Turner for many years. He also established a LLC and enjoyed working as a landlord until his death.

He is survived by his son, Michael and fiancée Cassandra Brooks; sisters Carolyn Jordan and Danita and husband Mike Minervino, and a brother, Derwin and wife Bonnie; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a son, Matthew.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. only at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
