The Western Maine Art Group begins its summer season with a First Friday Reception from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 2, at the Main Street Gallery in Norway. The gallery exhibits the work of fine artists and artisans living and working in Western Maine.
The featured artist for the month of July at the Western Maine Art Group’s Main Street Gallery is Janet Larsen-Healey of Waterford. She studied art at Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, and later with local artists Lynn Driscoll and Michael Ranucci. Larsen-Healey joined the Western Maine Art Group in 2020. Her paintings are realistic and detailed. She prefers to paint still life oil paintings, graphite drawings, and watercolors.
Main Street Gallery is located at 426 Main St., Norway. The gallery is free and open to the public from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
