Sylvia A. Touchette
LEWISTON – Sylvia A. Touchette, 82, of Roxbury Road, Roxbury, died Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family at her side. She was born in Rumford on June 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Elwin and Gertrude (LaVallee) Knapp. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Mexico High School class of 1957.
Sylvia married E. Raymond Touchette in 1958 and he predeceased her in 2009. She was an active member of The Parish of the Holy Savior and The Daughters of Isabella.
Sylvia is survived by her two sons, Mark E. Touchette and his wife Janet of Roxbury and John R. Touchette and his wife Deborah of Byron, two grandchildren, BriAnna Flaherty and her husband Justin and Ian Touchette, three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Declan and Clive Flaherty, two brothers Leslie Knapp of Roxbury and Richard Knapp of Mexico and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a baby daughter, Marie, a sister, Joan Duxbury and a brother, Donald Knapp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 2, at 10 a.m., at The Holy Savior Parish of St. John’s in Rumford. Arrangements are under the care of Thibault Remembrance Center 250 Penobscot St. Rumford 364-4366.
