Bonnie Rae Pratt

AUBURN – Bonnie Rae Pratt, 76, passed away on June 27, 2021, at Clover Manor in Auburn, Maine. With her loving daughter, Michelle by her side until her last breath. She was born in Waterville on Oct. 19, 1944, the daughter of Frank Bishop and Hortense (Giroux) Cook.

Bonnie graduated from Waterville Senior High School in 1963. She worked only part-time jobs. She had her main job of being a housewife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother which was her passion. She loved to cook, knit and crochet, and watch her soapies. She also enjoyed her flower beds and watching the birds. So many times, she would share her cooking with the Winslow Fire and Rescue boys. This was her way of giving back to her community as they were really good to her when she needed them. She would share her cooking with friends, neighbors, and members of her family. She also was an avid NASCAR fan. She followed Mark Martin for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank Bishop and Hortense Cook; her daughter, Debra Duquette; and her brother, Jan F. Bishop of Waterville.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Green and husband Rodney of Lewiston; two granddaughters, Amanda Booker and husband Rick and Erica Withee; four great-granddaughters, Brianna, Paige, Olivia, and Bailey. She is also survived by her fur grandbabies, Janey and Murray Green.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the following people in these organizations: The Clover Community, Androscoggin Hospice, Dublin Neighborhood, Carlow Neighborhood, and the several wonderful staff members that touched Bonnie’s life along her journey. The family would also like to thank all her friends for their support especially her dearest friends, Victor (who has passed) and Elaine, and her dear friend, Priscilla. Lastly the incredibly special bond she made with her dear friends, Henry, Monique, and Jessica.

Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 17 in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville, Maine. A Celebration of Life will be held at her daughters’ home in Lewiston at a later date.
