Celebration Barn Theater kicks off its 2021 season with Mike Miclon’s The Early Evening Show at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, on Celebration Barn’s new outdoor open-air stage. The presentation marks the return of its popular Saturday Show Series.

“We’re thrilled to be welcoming artists and audiences back together again this summer. There is no better way to celebrate emerging from a challenging time than joining together for big laughs,” said the Barn’s Executive Artistic Director Amanda Huotari.

The Early Evening Show, a spoof of late-night talk shows, has been performed from New England to Switzerland. 22 years and over 200 performances have made it the longest-running live variety show in Maine history. Packed with surprise guests and audience interactions, The Bangor Daily News called The Early Evening Show, “a seamless, hilarious production,” and CBS Sunday Morning called it, “must-see reality!”

The show on July 10 features The Early Evening Show Orchestra, plus special musical guests. “Master of Modern Vaudeville” and juggling virtuoso Thom Wall will be a guest performer. Wall has shared the stage with the Rockettes at the Radio City Music Hall, juggled for thousands with Cirque du Soleil, and toured the world with his performances.

Celebration Barn will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. Its Saturday Show Series continues Celebration Barn’s tradition of drawing world-class performers to Maine, as it has for decades. Shows this July and August take place on the Barn’s outdoor open-air stage, and performances move into the theater in the fall. For the full Show Series lineup, visit CelebrationBarn.com.
