WATERFORD — The long-shuttered doors of the Waterford Congregational Church will swing open in joyful reunion on Sunday, July 11. Services will resume at the traditional 9:30 a.m. time. Masks will be required and social distancing enforced.

Closed since March 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the historic little church—under the leadership of Pastor Doretta Colburn— has kept up its busy menu of Sunday services, complete with musical performances and scripture readings posted on the church’s website (wccucc.com), and mission work to assist those in need.

The choir will not perform, but will provide prerecorded music, and hymn singing will not be resumed at this point for safety reasons. The normal coffee hour following the service will not be resumed as yet.

Rev. Colburn’s sermon is entitled, “In Celebration Together!” Come celebrate with us!
