Ernest Norman Guimond

LEEDS – Ernest Norman Guimond “Norm”, 68, of Leeds, passed away on July 3, 2021, after a long battle of illnesses at his home with his wife, Cara, by his side. Norm was born in Lewiston on Aug. 19, 1952, a son of Georgette Guimond-Rivard and Ernest Guimond. Norm married Caralynne (Hood) on Jan. 21, 1995. He worked at Pioneer Plastics as a truck driver and yard jockey until 2013. Norm enjoyed all outdoors activities; hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, hiking or snowmobiling; it was doing these activities with family he enjoyed the most. Especially the 4-wheeling trip he took with his nieces and nephews that landed them in The Forks with one broken ATV and no ramps. With ingenuity, they were able to use a moose scale to set the ATV in the bed of the truck. He and his nephew’s return ride to camp included dodging rabbits and other woodland creatures in the midnight hours. “Pepere” as his grandchildren called him, loved to fish with them. He even bought them all their first fishing poles. But when he wanted quiet time, he would be found at his camp in Moscow with the company of his wife and their two dogs, Hunter and Susie. Norm will be missed by his loving wife, Caralynne, his son Normand Guimond and wife Andi, his daughter Nicole Guimond and partner, Joshua Mello; and three grandchildren Joseph, Evelyn and Ethan. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Cook, Lorraine Dunlap, Marie Cyr, Theresa Buzzell and Rita Lessard; brothers Paul Guimond, Alfred Guimond, Roland Guimond and Raymond Guimond. He was predeceased by his mother, father and brother Larry Guimond. Messages of condolence may be sent to: http://www.finleyfuneralhome.com
