RUMFORD – Remi Conrad Cote, 84, of Rumford, died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Androscoggin Home Hospice in Auburn following a brief illness. He was born on Dec. 30, 1937, in Rumford, a son of Emile L. and Gertrude (Metivier) Cote. He graduated from Rumford High School.
He will be remembered as a kind soul with a contagious smile.
Remi is survived by his children, Joseph Emile Cote of Auburn, Remi Conrad Cote, Jr of Arizona, Robin Lynn Cote of Massachusetts, Amy Lee Cote of Massachusetts, Charlene Marlene Leavitt of Livermore Falls and Christine Maureen Leavitt of Rumford; nine grandchildren; his siblings, Evelyn Hotham, James Cote and Marie Woods of Rumford and Deborah Anderson of Saco. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brothers, Philip, John (Jack) and Richard (Dicky) Cote and a sister Meg Wermenchuk.
