BELGRADE — Hammond Lumber Co. has been awarded the National Safety Council’s 2021 Occupational Excellence Achievement Award in 15 of its branches for outstanding safety. The award goes to council member companies that keep their lost workday case incident rate better than or equal to 50% of the Bureau of Labor Standards rate for their North American Industry Classification System code in the past calendar year.

Hammond Lumber’s 15 branches include Auburn, Bangor, Belfast, Belgrade, Boothbay Harbor, Bucksport, Calais, Camden, Cherryfield, Damariscotta, Ellsworth, Fairfield, Farmington, Greenville and Rockland.
