Raymond and Marie De Lisle of Raymond are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year.

The two high school sweethearts grew up in Berlin, New Hampshire. Raymond and Marie first met at a high school dance nearly 62 years ago and went on to get married and live all over New England, including the Maine towns of Jay, Livermore Falls, Windham and Casco.

With study and hard work their rewarding careers were varied, including police officer, welder, fitter, hairstylist, entrepreneur and all the titles that go along with being business owners.

In addition to their successful careers, Ray and Marie went on to raise four children, three boys and a girl.

Since retiring, Ray and Marie have travelled all over the world and inspired numerous couples with their love and devotion for one another and for their family.

Today Ray and Marie are known for welcoming friends from all over the world to their lake house in Maine, where traditional breakfast is a boat ride down the lake for pizza, lunches spent feasting on Maine lobsters, and dinners with Canadian meat pies and all the trimmings, and whoopie pies for desert

Because of COVID-19, family and friends are unable to celebrate with them this year, but plan to when they can safely gather.
