“Forestry Field Day: Celebrating the Maine Outstanding Tree Farm of the Year” is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12 in Wicopy Woods on North Road in Sebec.
The public is invited to attend the event, due to honor Jessica Leahy and Bob Seymour, the 2020 Maine Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year, at their property. This is an opportunity to learn about forestry practices that have created a high quality, healthy, and productive woodland.
Attendees can meet other woodland owners and stewards, connect with forestry experts, and participate in various levels of walking tours accommodating all abilities. There will also be education stations, exhibits, and opportunities to purchase food.
The event is free of charge and is co-sponsored by Maine Woodland Owners and Maine Tree Farm.
