NEWRY — The application for the Adult Use License for Skiway Road Retail LLC was approved by the Selectman at the municipal board meeting board July 28. The application completed was to switch ownership from House of Ganja to the Skiway Road Retail LLC.
The town manager Amy Bernard called the state and there were no issues, and spoke with the code enforcement officer who suggested they fulfill duties by change of hands. There was a license form roll over, and beyond that, only minor changes, with improved security.
LRAP funds for maintenance of town roads were discussed by the selectman. During 2020, the Town did not pave, so the Town Manager Amy Bernard used Code 13. This was the last bond payment for Sunday River Road made last August, exceeding $11,800.
The meeting was also held electronically.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
