DEAR SUN SPOTS: Liliana Tripp, 6, is at it again. We reached out to Sun Spots in the past to help get the word out about our gift bags for homeless children and received a great response. After the project was finished, Liliana decided she wanted to continue to make an impact on the community so she founded a nonprofit organization to empower and inspire community members to reach out and assist under-served youth and families in their community.

Liliana wants to help those in the community in need by filling backpacks for homeless children returning to school this year. We are asking the community for a donation of school supplies and funds to be used to fill backpacks for the children living in the shelters in Oxford County.

Liliana’s goal is to fill 24 backpacks with all required school supplies, as well as pairs of new sneakers. We appreciate any donations given to make this goal a reality.

We will also have a bottle drive/lemonade stand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Longley Square in Norway. We will collect bottles to benefit Liliana’s nonprofit, as well as selling lemonade and yummy snacks.

Please contact us at FromLilwithLove@hotmail.com or at 577-6234 for more information or to make a donation. — Laura, no town
