To the Editor:
President Biden is consistently inconsistent when it comes to Covid-19 policy.
On the one hand, he is consistently advocating wearing a facemask whenever a person has not been vaccinated against Covid-19 and is mingling with other people indoors. However, when it comes to people entering this country illegally through our southern border, there are no rules. Numerous persons enter through the southern border from countries all over the world without passports, facemasks, evidence of vaccination, and even with criminal records, and many with active cases of the Covid.
All these people are processed and allowed to enter, and many are allowed to take public transportation, usually buses or aircraft to communities all over this country. I heard Fox News on my car radio yesterday (July 29) state that there were so many children, many with active Covid-19 symptoms, allowed into Texas and sent to a military base in Texas where they were housed with many other children with the disease in crowded conditions. The Biden administration personnel were so embarrassed about the conditions there that they would not allow any news agencies to enter the facility for fear they would leak the information to the American public!
Contrast this situation with all the public pronouncements and discussions about whether and when “all Americans” were going to be required to wear face masks! It is a “brave new world out there!”
