SOUTH PARIS — The Paris Cape Historical Society plans to hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at the 77 High St. museum.

Maine State Trooper Percy Turner of Paris will be the featured speaker.

His presentation will center around the first 100 years of the State Police. Percy plans to bring his classic Maine State vehicle for viewing on the front lawn, and he will be dressed in his 1940s uniform.

Refreshments will be served following the meeting. Parking is available behind the museum.
