The Sweden Food Pantry sponsors a raffle each year to raise money in conjunction with Sweden Days, held the first weekend in August. Total raffle sales were $1,800.

Winner Tom Bingham of Nutly, New Jersey, and Sweden, Maine, and Linda Bradley “shake” hands after he announced he would return his winnings to the Sweden Food Pantry.

Tom Bingham of Nutly, New Jersey, and Sweden, Maine, was the winner of the $900 prize — 50% of the funds raised through the sale of raffle tickets. Bingham immediately decided to return his winnings to the Sweden Food Pantry.

“We are neighbors helping neighbors. Tom’s decision to return his winnings to the Sweden Food Pantry allows us to do more for our clients,” said Linda Bradley, executive director, according to a news release from the pantry.
