Timothy Paul Talarico

LAKE SARASOTA, Fla. – Timothy Paul Talarico, 56, of Lake Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Lewiston/Auburn, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota, Fla. Tim’s two sons, Marco and Marcus were with him as he slipped out of this world and into the next. Tim suffered a number of physical ailments since childhood and finally succumbed to complications associated with diabetes, lung issues and a heart attack.

Born in Lewiston on August 18, 1964, he was the son of the late Nicola Dominica Talarico and the late Gloria Figoli Talarico. He was educated in local schools.

Tim inherited his father’s cooking talents and you could often find him making the “Talarico’s secret sauce and meatball recipe”. He loved boating on Tacoma and other lakes with the boat he inherited from his brother Tony, spending time with his boys, and absolutely loved to drive, known to the Potvin nieces as their driving instructor.

He had various jobs over the years including working at CVS, Le Cookie Cafe in the Auburn mall, Steego Auto Parts, and the family restaurants, Luiggis and Rolandeau’s, but for most of his life, Tim was employed at Pioneer Plastics in Auburn as a supervisor of the Samples Department. He also served as president of Pioneer Plastic’s Management Association for a few years, and would organize and cook the hugely popular annual spaghetti dinners catering to a hundred or more people. Tim was the caretaker of his father, moving together in 2016 to Sarasota, Fla. Tim was very gregarious and made friends easily. He was the kind of man who would go out of his way to help a friend or family member.

Survivors include; his former wife, Denise Potvin Parker and their sons, Marco and his love Tiffany Caron, and Marcus Talarico; brothers Nick and partner Roland Nadeau, Tom Talarico, a sister, Debra and husband Dan Dube; sisters-in-law Rachel Martin Talarico and Rachel LeBlond Talarico; aunt, Laura Fillion; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; friend since childhood, Sue Bowman-Sampson, and longtime friends who have become part of our family and also lived in Florida, Chris, Raymond, and Josh and Olivia; and many many other friends, all of whom held a special place in Tim’s heart.

Besides his parents, Tim was predeceased by brothers Kris, Toby, and Tony Talarico.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the R.N. Darlene at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital ICU, for going above and beyond and the entire staff and volunteers of the Sarasota Memorial Hospital and the Tidewell Hospice House for the love and care they gave our Dad.

Visitation will be held at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home on Friday, August 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place Saturday, August 21 at Gracelawn Memorial Park at 11 a.m.
