BRIDGTON — The Molly Ockett Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) undertook the task of creating lap blankets for the veterans in the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris. The effort was led by Chapter Corresponding Secretary Nancy Coshow, pictured with Brad Peck, Administrator of the home, at the delivery of the blankets on August 10. Each blanket was accompanied by a handwritten note of appreciation to the veteran.

“Our veterans have selflessly served their country, and they and their families have made many sacrifices for the good of America,” said Chapter Regent Sherry Edwards. “The members of the Molly Ockett Chapter are delighted to be able to express our gratitude to the residents of the Maine Veterans’ Home through this project.”
