Martha K. Cielinski
LEWISTON – Martha K. Cielinski, 83, of David Street, Lisbon Falls, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening August 24, 2021. She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 16, 1937, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Byrus) Adams.She was educated in Lisbon schools where she was actively involved in sports including basketball, Sokol gymnastics, baton twirling for the school marching band, graduating from Lisbon High School class of 1956. She married her true love, Michael Cielinski, on July 25, 1959. Together they settled in Lisbon Falls to raise their family.Martha worked for many years at Brunswick Savings and later retired from Lisbon High School as a substitute teacher. She was a lifelong member of the former St. Cyril & Methodist Church and now Holy Trinity Parish. Always a very social person, she enjoyed spending time with her large extended family, friends and community. Martha was an avid bowler and later a golfer, playing on many team leagues throughout the years, scoring her first hole-in-one at Apple Valley three months after learning to play, then at Prospect Golf Course and most recently the Meadows Golf Course. She had a knack for music and played piano often at church and many other events, frequently went dancing with Mike, and always made sure she had a meal cooked and desserts baked for her family. The past several decades she wintered in Port Ritchie Fla.She leaves her husband of 62 years, Michael Cielinski of Lisbon Falls; her three sons, Martin and his wife Amy of Hollis, N.H., Matthew and his wife Jill of Keene, N.H. and Michael of Lisbon Falls; six grandchildren, Daniel, Rebecca, Caroline, Cameron, Danica and Cassandra. She is also survived by a brother, Martin Adams of Exeter, N.H. She was predeceased by a son, Mark Adam Cielinski.Online condolences can be shared at http://www.crosmanfuneralhome.com.
