CANTON – Frances H. Gagnon, 93, of Dixfield, passed away on August 29, 2021 at Pinnacle Healthcare.

She was born in Rumford on July 4, 1928, the daughter of James T. and Emma Isabel McLeod Hosie. She married Raymond F. Gagnon on Oct. 23, 1948 and had been a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Gagnon of Norridgewock, her sons Peter Gagnon of Madison and Christopher Gagnon and wife Melissa of Waterboro; granddaughters Cortney and Sarah; great-grandsons Braxton and Westley; a sister, Belle Child of West Peru, brothers Thomas Hosie of Dixfield and Herbert Hosie of Rumford.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2016; her son, James Gagnon; and her brother, Stewart Hosie.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
