DEAR SUN SPOTS: My friend and I visited a nursing home in Farmington and after our visit, we decided to bring a tea party to the residents. We will bring them tea and refreshments.

We would also like them to be able to wear hats. I have a few, but not enough for all.  My request is for anyone who has a pretty hat to donate to please bring it to me at 40 West Minot Road in Minot. As soon as the nursing home will allow us in to do this, we will pack up all our tea pots, tea, scones, etc. and cheer up these residents. Please contact me at 345-3113 and leave a message if I don’t answer. — Terryl-Esther, No town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I need a gas tank for a 1973 Raider snowmachine. I thought perhaps other Sun Spots readers might be able to help me find one or find a place where I could get one made. Thanks for your help. — No name, no town

ANSWER: OK, readers, especially those with snowmobile or metal shop experience, please write if you can assist!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have made the haddock/cream of soup recipe. I believe it was made with frozen haddock. An hour would be way too long for fresh fish. — No name, no town

ANSWER: That does make sense. If other readers have made the recipe in the Aug. 17 Sun Spots with haddock and cream of mushroom soup, please write in and tell us how long you baked it and at what temperature. It really does seem that we need clarification here!
