Janis (Boston) Gagne Brackenbury

AUBURN – Janis (Boston) Gagne Brackenbury died August 27, 2021 at Sara Frye’s Home in Auburn, from complications from diabetes.

Janis was born in Lewiston on Nov. 25, 1946 to Chet and Lena (Dalton) Boston. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1965.

She loved Bingo and the Danville Grange bean suppers; any little thing made her happy. For most of her life she was homemaker and loving mother. She married Fern Gagne and had a son, Ed Gagne. She then married Braford Brackenbury.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Sharon Hatch and brother-in law, Joe Hatch, Fern Gagne and Bradford Brackenbury.

She is survived by her son, Ed Gagne and partner Sean Bowie of County Donegal, Ireland; sister, Connie Burnham and husband Arthur of Otisfield, Larry Boston of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews; a special roommate Priscilla Hermann at Sara Frye Home, all the hard workers there, and lifetime friend, Marilee Shaw, of Danville.

A celebration of life will be at Court St. Baptist Church, Auburn on Sept 18 at 11 a.m.
