Amy Sanchez would be an excellent Lewiston city councilor for Ward 5.

During the past two years she has emerged as a creative and effective leader within the Ward 5 community.

For instance, during the early months of the pandemic, Amy created a start-up to produce masks, including kid-sized ones, which were hard to come by at the time. She sewed thousands of great-looking masks and wrote a grant to fund them so she could give them away to downtown residents who needed them.

Amy is a natural collaborator, reaching out to local businesses, city government, and others to make improvements in her ward. She is an active participant in the Healthy Neighborhoods network and is currently representing the Tree Streets neighborhood on the Public Art Working Group.

Amy is exactly the kind of proactive leader we need on the City Council.
