Pumpkins in the Park is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, in Lewiston’s Kennedy Park at 120 Park St.

Lewiston Recreation and the Lewiston Public Library plan to provide a morning of free fall fun.

Children can decorate a pumpkin to take home, earn prizes by playing harvest games, and dive elbow-deep into some pumpkins. A craft table will be on site.

Pumpkins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a child’s pumpkin can be reserved at lewistonrecreation.com or by calling Lewiston Recreation at 207-513-3005.
