DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for someone to remove and hang wallpaper. I can’t seem to find anyone in the Lewiston-Auburn area. — Ray, no town

ANSWER: Peeling off wallpaper and applying new is a big job but I bet Lewiston Paint & Wallpaper (784-1993) could probably steer you in the right direction. Pat’s Wallpaper in Livermore (897-3834) may also have an idea of someone who can help. PaperWorks Wallcoverings is another option. 776-3623.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have never written to Sun Spots before, but just had to tonight. My husband and I took our two small children to Applebee’s this evening for an early dinner. While waiting for our meal, a nice grandmotherly-type woman sitting nearby made conversation with us and played a game with our children.  She was so kind and was so good at entertaining the kids!

She finished her meal and left shortly after our food came. We didn’t realize it at the time, but she paid for our meal. It was such a wonderful thing for her to do and I wish we could have given personal words of appreciation. It was so unexpected. I don’t think I’ll ever forget her. — Andrea, no town
