BRIDGTON — Mark your calendar, round up your besties, and shop Bridgton’s town-wide event on the weekend of November 20 & 21 (the weekend before T-giving). Bridgton’s Ladies’ Weekend Out is bigger, better, and more diverse than ever – 31 restaurants and retailers scattered about Bridgton’s downtown are welcoming visitors with enticing discounts, drawings, gifts, beverages, and nibbles.

Jessica Jones, owner of Firefly Boutique and organizer of Ladies’ Weekend Out, has lined up thirty-one (31) emporiums throughout town.  “The goal of Ladies’ Weekend Out,” says Jones, “is to bring the community together for a fun-filled event. Shoppers visit Bridgton’s ever-changing retail scene, giving the shop owners and restaurants an opportunity to reach new customers and create goodwill.  We all need more smiles and laughs after these past few years.”

This year marks the 13 annual LWO and is a great opportunity to shop locally.  Don’t spend your hard-earned dollars at the mall – save some of your holiday gift-giving ideas for LWO – you’ll be glad you did! There will be plenty of delightful and discounted inventory choices for the most challenging people on your holiday list, not to mention lots of freebies.  Enjoy walking Bridgton’s newly re-vamped Main Street with updated sidewalks, lamp posts, and plantings. Main St. and Depot Street are hosting 22 retailers. 7 others are located along Portland Road (Route 302), Bridgton’s gateway from the south.   All shops and restaurants will open during their normal operating hours, but generally, most retail stores will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and restaurants and watering holes are opening for lunch or afternoon & evening specials.  For more information about what each business is offering, go to https://www.facebook.com/ladiesdayoutbridgtonmaine or just look around town for the LWO posters and postcards.
