OTISFIELD — On Saturday, October 16, the Otisfield Historical Society is sponsoring a guided tour of Elmwood Cemetery, located opposite the Free Baptist Church on the Rayville Road.

Come meet our own astronomer, Professor Holden, who was born in 1816 and discovered that the earth is flat and stationary, and that the sun and moon move around it. You will also meet nine other interesting former Otisfielders, including some who fought in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, and taught in one-room schoolhouses.

Tours will begin at 2 p.m. and run every half hour. Each tour will last about an hour. Tickets will be limited and the cost of $10 will be collected at the gate. The rain date is October 23. To reserve your ticket, email us at otisfieldhistorical@gmail.com or call 207-423-1218 with your preferred time.
