The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District plans to host the annual USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Local Working Group meeting from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Old Crow Ranch, 427 Davis Road in in Durham.
This meeting is open to the public. The group seeks help from farmers or private landowners in Androscoggin or Sagadahoc counties to identify natural resource concerns in the community, prioritize which resource concerns to address, and discuss 2022 USDA NRCS programs and where to prioritize funding for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) in Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties.
Registration is required by Thursday, Oct. 21, and can be done by calling the Conservation District at 207-241-5374 or emailing projectdirector@androscogginswcd.org.
