Companion planting with tomatoes and marigolds will be the topic of the Oct. 28 Camden Garden Club Speaker Series event by Master Gardener Jean Vose. Marie Coleman photo
Master Gardener Jean Vose plans to talk about companion planting from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at the American Legion Hall, War Memorial Post No. 30, at 91 Pearl Street in Camden.
Companion planting is the method of growing plants together. As a natural way to get the most out of one’s garden, companion planting can look beautiful and save gardeners time and money. The program will discuss how to use plants to create an environment to attract pollinators and repel insect pests.
Vose, of Nobleboro, has more than 30 years of experience as a gardener, horticulturist and beekeeper.
The Camden Garden Club is hosting the indoor public event as part of its speaker series. Doors open at 9 a.m., with the program ending at 10:30 a.m.
This event is free and open to the public. An RSVP is not required. For information about the event and its COVID mask and distancing policy, visit camdengardenclub.org.
