Kay M. Fuller
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Kay M. Fuller, 74, of Marlborough, Mass. died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham, Mass. after a long battle with illness. She was born in Paignton, England the daughter of the late John and Gladys “June” (French) Fuller and moved to Maine in 1947.
Kay spent most of her life in Maine where she graduated from Lewiston High School and later moved to Durham, Maine. Kay worked as a Supervisor for close to 30 years at Pineland Center in New Gloucester where she cared for the Disabled. Kay treated her patients like they were her own family. She felt they deserved as much love and care that she could give.
Kay enjoyed dining out. She believed the dessert should be the beginning of everyone’s meal. Kay loved to travel. Her favorite time to travel was with her grandkids. Florida, California, Arizona, and Kentucky are a few of the places she traveled. Her favorite trip, which was her last trip, was with her grandchildren to her homeland of England and seeing her family for the last time.
Kay leaves her daughter, Kelley L. Burgess and her husband William of Marlborough; two grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher Burgess both of Marlborough and her granddog Zoey; four cousins, Joyce, Di, Rose and Julie; and other extended family of England.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 5-7 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home (www.collinsfuneral.com), 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Following cremation, burial will be in Paignton, England. There will be a celebration of life after the calling hours at the family home in Marlborough.
