Marian Antoinette Soucy
LEWISTON – Marian Antoinette Soucy passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2021 at St. Mary’s RMC following a brief illness.
Born on Jan. 18, 1944 in Sheridan, the daughter of Leo Sr. and Lucille Carney.
Marian was predeceased by her husband of 58 years Omer Soucy on Feb. 4, 2021.
Marian is survived by her six children, Diane Soucy and her partner Rusty Force, Sue Soucy, Leo Soucy and his partner Chris Dodge, Francis Soucy, Pauline Poliquin and her partner Tim Day and Mike Soucy, a grandson that they raised as their own, Ricky Soucy and his wife Michelle; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanne Nadeau and Bernadette Pelletier, a brother, Leo Carney Jr. and his wife Diane.
Marian was employed by several employers throughout her life but the one she enjoyed the most was at Little Hobo Restaurant in Lewiston where she met many friends and enjoyed socializing with the locals.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and being the family taxi. Marian was also known for her laugh that would turn into a pig snort when she laughed out loud.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at Broadview Cemetery, East Ave. Lewiston, ME 04240. Arrangements by Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home Lewiston. 784-4023. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at http://www.lynchbrothers.com.
