I do not customarily write endorsements but do so here because “it’s all about Lewiston.”

I support, without any equivocation, or reservation, the following.

For City Council: Ward 1, Linda Scott; Ward 2, Robert McCarthy; and Ward 5, Laurier “Larry” Pease.

For School Committee: Ward 2, Janet Beaudoin; Ward 6, Meghan Hird; and Ward 7, Heather Benson.

In Ward 6, Meghan would represent the principles and desires of the residents and parents of the Lewiston’s largest ward. A mother herself, she has two young children who will be products of Lewiston schools, and she therefore has a vested interest in seeing them receive a proper and well-rounded education.

Voters should do their due diligence. Who are the candidates? Where do they come from? Who/what do they represent? Have they omitted anything in their bio that voters should know? These answers are important.
